Baseball: Bentley’s baseball team extended their winning streak to 6 games after four convincing wins against St. Michael’s College in a weekend sweep that took place from April 10-11. Jared Brooks had an incredible debut with 7 strikeouts. Three days later, the Falcons beat Stonehill 6 to 5 after trailing by two runs. So far, the Falcons have an overall record of 11-3 and a conference record of 10-3. Their next opponent is a four-game series at Assumption with noon doubleheaders scheduled for April 17 and 18.
Softball: A Bentley fairytale from five down fell short after St. Michael’s scored the game-winning run in the eighth to edge out the visitors. The Falcons fell short again in Game 2 with a 1-0 loss. The follow up contest between the Falcons and Franklin Pierce was postponed. So far on the season, the softball team currently has an overall record of 6-8, with all games coming in conference play.
Men’s Tennis: On the 15th, Bentley fell 5-2 against Brandeis. Bentley’s Max Bonte and Daniel Weitz’s double win wasn’t able to help the Falcons get past Brandeis. Bonte also won the only singles match for Bentley in the contest. On the 17th, Bentley was ousted by Southern New Hampshire University 6-1. Connor Aulson and Gabe Horowitz won a double for Bentley and Max Bonte won his single as well. With both results in the books, the Falcons dropped to 2-5 overall.
Women’s Tennis: Last Wednesday Bentley’s Women Tennis fell short to Adelphi by a score of 6-1. The Falcons were able to pick up a point from two default wins. After this result, the Falcons are 2-6 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
Women’s Lacrosse: The Falcons were able to send St Michael’s home with a 12-2 win on April 14. Bentley scored 8 in the first and 4 in the second to secure the win. Eliza Bresler had an impressive 86.7 save percentage in the game while Julia Glavin led Bentley’s attack by putting three in the opposition’s net. The Falcon’s dominated the game with almost two times as many shots on goal compared to the Saints. Bentley continued its hot form on Saturday with a 17-4 win over Southern New Hampshire University. Veteran Eliza Bresler broke the women's lacrosse record for career saves with 563. She finished the game with a 76.5 save percentage. Julia Glavin and Dana Lewandowski ran wild against St. Michaels by putting 6 past them in the first half while Katherine Hesslink provided the icing on the cake to seal the win. With two dominant performances, the Falcons are 7-2 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
Men’s Lacrosse: Men’s lacrosse faced Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday night. A big 4th quarter performance helped them secure a 9-7 win. Unfortunately the Falcons weren't able to make it 5 wins in a row when they fell short by 1 goal against Le Moyne after forcing overtime on Saturday. The Falcons were behind 8-6 after the third quarter but outscored Le Moyne 4-2 over the final 15 minutes to force overtime. Bentley’s goaltender Keaton Roarick finished with an impressive 20 saves. After these two results, the Falcons are 4-3 overall, with all games coming in conference play.
