Treebola

Back in 2020, when the entire world had closed due to the pandemic, coughing in public spaces immediately only led to one thought: Covid-19. However, for Freshman at Bentley in 2022, coughing in public meant a completely different thing: Treebola. Treebola was a name developed to represent that this year most students are living in the Trees, one of the freshman dorms. Many people have gone under the weather with similar symptoms, which include dry coughs, congestion, and sore throats. However, due to the number of people contracting this illness, this is now the first “disease” to come to people’s minds when another student gets sick on campus. Some have even commented that months later, they still have not been completely cured. Word of this new hypothetical disease has spread across campus, even leading to word from the health center which is asking students if it feels like Treebola, or worse, to properly understand pain levels. So, while Covid still lingers in the air, freshman students are currently fighting off a different kind of disease. If you haven’t already done so, make sure to clean your air filters, and vacuum your rugs to help stay healthy!
