The Falcon Mart

The Falcon Mart is the hero we didn’t know we needed but are grateful to have. Having only discovered the Mart now, I realize how many prior late-night cravings could have been satisfied if I had only known about this dining option sooner! I do not think I am alone when I say that I have exhausted every dining option on campus (including Curritos, yes). I could take my dining out to Moody Street or have my meals come to me through food delivery apps, but I missed the inexpensive, outrageously unhealthy food I shared with friends back in high school. Chips, microwave pizza, and instant cup noodles, once staples in my diet, are now nowhere to be found. That is until I discovered the Falcon Mart, my one-stop shop for all the junk food I could desire! The Mart is open between the hours of 11 am and 11 pm, perfect for curbing those midnight hunger pangs.

Whether it be a sweet snack or a calorific craving, this place has got you covered. My personal favorite is the Hershey’s Popped Snack Mix. Crispy caramel popcorn meets mini chocolate bars with salty, crunchy pretzels—a sinfully good combination. Yet if I am getting dinner, I would have to go for the Spicy Cup Noodles. As a commuter,  I use LaCava’s microwaves to prepare this quick fix, but if you have the option, I recommend heating any of their ready-made meals from the comfort of your dorm.

The Falcon Mart is the only place on campus to stock up on college food essentials. Whether for a dorm party or a personal indulgence, the Falcon Mart is there for you. It’s cheaper, quicker, and, most importantly, greasier. For those who do not know, the Falcon Mart is located on the first floor of Collins Hall, next to the Creativity Studio. If you have some discretionary funds remaining, this is an easy way to ensure the stipend does not go to waste. I think splurging on junk food is a great way to reward yourself for all the hard work you’ve put in this year!
