Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Signs Three-Year Contract with Arsenal

On September 15, Arsenal announced that the club reached an agreement with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang about a new three-year contract. The new contract offers Aubameyang a new weekly wage of £350,000, which is likely the highest weekly wage on the team.

Arsenal has stated that they are very much looking forward to working with the captain for another three years and creating more memories for the club and the fans. It is true that Aubameyang is an incredible asset to this Arsenal team. He represented the London club in 111 games and scored 75 goals, including a remarkable first season where he scored a whopping 22 goals and became the Premier League Golden Boot winner. Last season, Aubameyang registered 44 caps (international games) for Arsenal and scored 29 goals, including a brace (two goals) in the FA club final win over Arsenal’s London rival, Chelsea.

“I believe in Arsenal,” Aubameyang said about his club. “We can achieve big things together. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal.” Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta also stated that Aubameyang’s stay is incredibly important to the team, as this year Arsenal is battling for a top four finish. If Arsenal is to have a successful season, Aubameyang will be a key component to their blueprint.
