Bentley's Newest Competitive Team

Bentley has a long history of supporting competitive club sports, with the most recent addition to the club sport roster coming in the form of Bentley Triathlon. Within the past year, a group of swimmers and runners from Bentley’s NCAA D-II programs came together to form Bentley Triathlon. Under the leadership of Edward Erofeyev and Joseph Twomey, the triathlon team achieved official status as a competitive club team under the umbrella of Bentley Athletics. Head coach Matthew Morabito and assistant coach Jerry Sancinito encourage anyone interested in joining or training with the team to contact them through the team’s instagram account @bentleytriathlon.

Though only about a year old, Bentley Triathlon already has members qualified to represent Bentley at USA Triathlon’s Collegiate Club Nationals in Lake Lanier, Georgia on April 15th. The team will continue to compete throughout the summer in triathlons around Massachusetts as a member of the NECTC conference competing against triathlon teams from Dartmouth, West Point, Boston College, the US Coast Guard Academy, Harvard, and more.

Bentley Triathlon will also be holding a fundraiser swim meet on Sunday, March 19. Any Bentley student is welcome to come to the Dana Center pool and enter a race for just $5. Outside athletes are also welcome at an entry fee of $20. Please see the following flier for more information.
